Unlike a court action, which can drag on for years, a FINRA Arbitration generally lasts between one year to a year and a half between the date of the filing and the date of the final hearing. Another difference is that there are no depositions in FINRA Arbitration, so it process moves more quickly and there’s a very limited right to appeal.
